Magtech’s M80 ball ammunition is a great choice for target shooting whether your rifle is chambered for 7.62×51 or 308 Win! And while its non-expanding bullets aren’t optimized for personal protection, this ammo would unquestionably turn any AR-10 into a formidable tool for home defense.
Each round in this box of 50 has a traditional weight 147 grain projectile. It is a full metal jacket bullet, simply a solid lead core and gilding metal jacket that is designed for smooth feeding, reduced barrel fouling, and target grade accuracy. The bullet exits a 22” barrel at 2,740 fps to establish a 0.398 G1 ballistic coefficient, so it should travel at around 2,100 fps by the 300 yard mark. Magtech’s M80 bullets are steel-free and nonmagnetic!
These Brazilian-made 7.62×51 cartridges are brass-cased and Boxer-primed, precisely the qualifications they need in order to be reloadable. If the cases seem discolored that is only because they have been heat-treated to give their brass proper suppleness, not because they have been previously fired. Magtech seals these rounds’ primers and case necks for greater resistance to humidity in storage and rain out in the field.
