Blazer is a cool company. We like to imagine there was a mix-up at the packaging factory and Blazer got a shipment that was meant for a dairy. But instead of complaining, Blazer said “No problem – let’s fill these cartons up with 22 LR ammo!”
You won’t want to put this ammo in your coffee, but you will want to load it in any bolt-action, lever-action, pump-action or semi-automatic 22 LR firearms you’ve got lying around. This cartridge is loaded with the staple 38 grain lead round nose, an economical kind of bullet without copper plating. Its lighter weight lets it fly out of a rifle barrel 100 fps faster than the speed of sound, and its streamlined nose profile grants it a ballistic coefficient of 0.128. It will fly flat as it retains nearly 1,000 fps of velocity at 100 yards, at which range it remains accurate and plenty capable of ruining any squirrel’s day.
Blazer’s 22 LR ammo features CCI’s reliable rimfire primers and uniform brass cases. This American-made plinking and target shooting ammo is also loaded with clean-burning propellant to help mitigate barrel fouling.
